About me
Hi! I am a motivated and driven 5th year Mechanical Engineering student specializing in Biomechanics. I have a passion for working with people to help people and I am seeking to become a dynamic, well-versed individual in all areas of life and work. I excel at viewing teams as a whole and identifying areas where the team is strong and areas that need care. I can identify needs in the team and fill any roles that are lacking or necessary; whether that be someone who makes all members feel comfortable and included, takes the lead in technical guidance, organizes team meetings to be efficient, or supports others in their tasks, etc. From recent experience, I’ve developed my technical skills in various areas such as Ansys FEM and coding. I’m also really good at learning new topics extremely quickly, as demonstrated from my 4th year capstone project which required extensive research on reverse shoulder surgeries, the medical technology industry, and troubleshooting blackbox applications.
As I am TAing a first-year engineering course, I have observed within myself a difficulty working with people who are not respectful, unprofessional, and not committed to the success of the team. I have realized and am committed to improve in this area; perhaps my role in these cases are to encourage and help these members view the value, opportunity, and importance they have on the team and the project.
Outside of school, I enjoy living an active lifestyle of running and sports like tennis, softball, badminton, and newly pickleball. I have recently gotten an interest in music and audio production, and enjoy playing guitar and piano, exploring various tones and sounds to perform with.
I also enjoy meeting up with people to chat about life and engage in meaningful conversations like their life goals, values, struggles in life, etc. Regardless the conversation subject, I enjoy grabbing food with people and going on walks around the city (when the weather is nice).
